"REFLECTIONS" Part Three: "At Sunset".

Reflections, my first new work in some time, is a four movement quartet for Viola, Violin, Flute and Piano. This is the third movement, "At Sunset", in which the Viola gets a long overdue chance to shine.

"ANOTHER TANGO"

Want to hear something new?
No of course you don't. Nobody ever does, least of all me and in any case I have nothing. New that is. But what I do have instead is a brand new arrangement of this old thing, and a brand new video to go with it. Some day, if I think of one, I might even give it a new name.
MASQUERADE.

Another new arrangement for Piano and Violin of an old work, this one originally appearing on the 'Stray Dog Waltz and Other Stories CD. See the bottom of this page for a live, orchestral version.

WALTZ SUITE (III)- 'Waltz No. 4'

Not of course a new work, but definitely a new arrangement. Please see below (Regeneration Waltz) on critics who attack those of us who write waltzes. In my case it only encourages me to write more.
Other composers have written a 'Waltz No. 2'(Shostakovich, Elliott Smith!), but as you can see, I've gone way past them.

Dot und das Känguruh, 2.Episode.

German language version of the 2nd part of 'Dot and the Kangaroo. Eine Oper für Kinder aller Altersstufen (und die dazugehörigen Erwachsenen) Von David R. Osborne. Deutsch von Olaf Roth. Känguruh: Victoria Lambourn; Dot: Sarah Jones.

RAGA DOLLS- 'REGENERATION WALTZ'
(Buy the Music here).

Threw this together recently, mostly from George Butrumlis's photos taken during the recording in 2008. I had finished writing the piece that morning, headed into the Iwaki in the afternoon, rehearsed it, had dinner and recorded it that evening. We were all having fun, and it shows.
Back in 2002, in an interview on the Music Show, Andrew Ford asked me a question that went something like "Why on earth would you bother composing waltzes?" At the time I was completely unprepared because it's not something I'd ever really thought about. Ready now Andrew

RAGA DOLLS- 'KELLY'S LAMENT'
